It’s what I use so I daresay it’s fine. Just get a finetip one (not the chunky ones for signwriting etc). And just make sure not to press super hard or leave really dark lines etc. It’s just common sense with them. I use a couple of different thicknesses depending on the colour of the fabric (superfine for white, a little thicker for darker colours etc).
I used to use copics but they were just too expensive and hard to find. Sharpies are everywhere.
I would highly recommend using a water soluble marking pen instead! I have used copics and other markers in the past for marking because they are what I had on hand but the water soluable pens are fantastic and if you mis-mark anything you just wipe it off with a wet paper towel or rag and it’s completely gone. The only problem is they almost always seem to be blue so they aren’t great for blue/purple or really dark fabrics, but I bet there are other colors around if you look!
You should definitely check out the rest of the gallery for pictures of all the cosplay contest entries, the charity auction, and the rest of the convention!
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
It is our great privilege to announce that our annual Charity Auction benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital raised a grand total of $40,911.18, the most ever raised at a My Little Pony convention!
We are so incredibly proud of our staff, donators, and especially ALL OF YOU! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. Now let’s go beat this amount in 2015!
Guys, we’re going to have to make a pretty amazing quilt this year if we want to help top that amount.
I might also be making some plushies for the auction too. Stay tuned!

My and Drakmire’s Cadance and Shining Armor cosplays for EFNW this year! Much more weather appropriate than the 10 pounds of silk velvet and 35 pounds of chainmail we wore last year! We won best in show in the cosplay contest and had a ton of fun wearing our costumes around all day and posing for lots of pictures. I’ll post/reblog more pictures of us as I find them :)
Now we need to figure out how to top these for next year!
Just finished this large batch of dragon plushies! Deadly Nadder (stormfly), Night Fury (Toothless), Cloudjumper and the Bewilderbeast as cute huggable dolls. And they’re all available here! https://www.etsy.com/shop/Plushiluv
