i’ve really been lacking motivation to sew lately. i think my body is still recovering from months straight of working full time, studying, and sewing. i know my motivation will come back again but i need to keep taking it easy until i feel ready again <3
I know how you feel. I’ve been taking a pretty long break. Finally getting back into things this month, but sometimes you just need to take that time off for yourself!
to every art student everywhere
i believe in all of you
and so does Bob Ross
reblog for art students and artists.
You guys know that this is Bob’s son Steve Ross and not Bob Ross…right? The message is good regardless, but I had to point that out.
This flyer handed out in Build-a-Bear Workshop stores reveals the release date of Rarity and mini Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle: April 7, 2014! The fillies will have little tutus made just for them it seems. In our last post on these three, we also saw a Gala dress for Rarity.
Definitely looking forward to these!
That terrifying moment when your embroidery machine is running and you hear it go “CRRSHHHNNNKKKKKKCHCHCHCHCH”
I’m honestly still not used to some of the sounds my machine makes when it’s just doing its normal thing. I always freak out when it’s stitching something thinking it’s doing something horribly wrong and then i go over and it’s fine.
Now available at the Folly Lolly store: beanie Pokemon!
For now there’s only one available of each Eeveelution, but as my schedule clears up I’ll be stocking more Eeveelutions as well as other Pokemon! <3
These are adorable and really well-made and I admit I want them all, but for $50 apiece I think you may be a bit delusional….
These account for over 1/3 of my total sales online- note that this doesn’t include conventions or commissions/private sales. And really, with fabric costs + labor I only make about 20% profit.
With all the details that go into these I’d probably charge way more than $50. Plus I just looked at your store and the more simple ones are only $40! You are are hardly even paying yourself a reasonable wage for your time let alone covering materials costs.
People really need to realize that there is a reason handcrafted things cost significantly more than factory made items.
Also these are adorable.
I think everyone who follows me here follows me on DA too, but just in case: There is a chance commissions will open again in the near-sh future.
Rarity is coming to Build-a-Bear! She is the fifth pony to be released by the company, following Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Fluttershy.
Her signature outfit will be her Gala dress. There’s a good chance she will have her own sound as well, as voice boxes have been released for all of the ponies since Fluttershy.
Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were also found. I’m not sure if these two will be buildable or mini pre-built plush like Spike, but they are very cute! And like their adult counterparts, they have brushable synthetic hair.
As these were found in Build-a-Bear’s image database, release dates are unknown. We will let you know when an official announcement has been made.

I’m so SO SO happy to see I was wrong in my predictions. BABW is releasing Rarity after all!! And I imagine there’s a good chance they’re making Applejack too.
Yay Rarity! I’m not the biggest fan of the BaB ponies (though Spike is freaking adorable) but I will probably get Rarity and maybe Sweetie Belle anyway. They tend to look better in person than in the promo pictures. I’ll just have to figure out what to do with her hair.
